Best Things to do in Ubud: Cretya Alas Harum

Updated: Dec 29, 2023

The days in Bali are hot. Sometimes it feels like the sun wrapping itself around you in a loving hug and sometimes the heat rises up from the concrete evoking images of hellfire or being burned at the stake. Since we are not walking distance to the beach we have had to figure out other ways to cool down. Driving slowish through the jungle creates a perfect balance of shade and breeze, but every drive is equal parts jungle and concrete. Laying around in the air conditioning is also an option, and that's exactly what we were doing when we read about Cretya. Creyta is the pool, but not just any pool. it's a three level 18+ pool with 3 different restaurants attached and a DJ playing house music in the background.

Cretya overlooks 8 Hectares of Rice Terraces and a Coffee Plantation. There is a Bali swing, a zipline and I'm sure a bunch of other things to check out one of the best things to do in Ubud. It's very obviously an Instagramers paradise- set up for every background to make the perfect picture so it was aesthetically pleasing. The water was cool and the fresh juice and iced coffee we got was refreshing. The entrance fee was 50,000 Rupiah each so about $3.25 Not a bad way to beat the heat.

During these cold cloudy rainy days in Pacific Northwest it is wonderful to see your photos of Ubud. I never made it there so these are a treat.

Been catching up on these. They're very good Monica. You've definitely sold me on Bali. The posts and pictures are most enjoyable.

I think I'd be more inclined to go to the pools if the music were better
